PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities are investigating a Southeast Portland shooting that left one man dead Saturday evening.

Just before 5:30 p.m., Portland police responded to a reported shooting near Southeast Division Street and 142nd Avenue.

On the scene, police found a man with “serious injuries,” and applied trauma first aid until paramedics arrived. The man was transported by an ambulance where — despite lifesaving measures — he died, authorities said.

During the investigation, authorities have shut down westbound Division St. between 145th Avenue and 141st Avenue.

Details surrounding what led up to the shooting are not clear.

Portland police told KOIN 6 News that the suspect or suspects left the scene, and no immediate arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau.
