According to the Indiana University Police Department, Alpha Epsilon Pi has been barred from hosting or participating in social events as a series of hazing incidents is investigated.
IUPD said the first hazing incident occurred on Sept. 20, before the next incident occurred the following month on Oct. 10. The third and final incident occurred two days later at Alpha Epsilon Pi, according to IUPD. The fraternity is located at 1412 N. David Baker Avenue in Bloomington.
A criminal investigation is currently underway into the reported incidents. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact IUPD at 812-855-4111 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
This marks the second time this month that IUPD has criminally investigated reported hazing incidents on the Bloomington campus after another fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, was placed on cease and desist for hazing incidents that resulted in two people being hospitalized.
