Owner Todd James said the experience, which takes about 55 minutes to walk through, combines Hollywood-quality special effects, an elaborate maze of twisting corridors, and a team of live actors trained through the haunted house’s own “Boo U” program.
“We have many actors who come back year after year, but everyone has to re-audition,” James said. “It’s a process similar to a Broadway production. We want only the best to bring these characters to life.”
Housed inside a 100-year-old building once used for processing meat, the haunted attraction embraces its eerie history. The site’s location, a part of Fort Worth once known for its rough reputation, only adds to the atmosphere. “It’s built on the foundation of fear,” James said.
Visitors can expect new thrills each season, along with fan favorites that have become staples of the experience. Outside the haunt, guests are greeted by the unmistakable sounds of Cutting Edge’s drumline, a group of performers who audition from across the country to entertain crowds before they even step inside.
Cutting Edge has earned four Guinness World Records over the years and continues to draw crowds from across the nation. Timed admission tickets are recommended in advance, with limited availability on select nights through November 1.
