CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City Board of Education has approved a resolution to provide one-time incentive payments to all employees. The board said the incentive recognizes employees’ continued commitment, dedication and exemplary service to the students of Cullman City Schools.

“This resolution — a gesture of appreciation initiated by the outgoing Board of Education — underscores the Board’s long-standing commitment to valuing the people who make Cullman City Schools successful,” said a media release from the district. “This same Board also approved the comprehensive pay increase in 2022, which positively impacted all employees across the system.”

The approved incentive provides all full-time employees with a one-time payment of $1,000 and all part-time employees with a one-time payment of $500. These payments will be included in the November payroll, arriving just in time for the holiday season.

“From the classroom to the cafeteria and all areas in between, we understand how hard our employees work, and we wanted to show our appreciation to all of them,” said Board President Amy Carter.

Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff expressed gratitude for the Board’s continued support of employees and acknowledged the teamwork that made the incentive possible.

“I appreciate the gesture from our Board of Education. In a year with no state raise for our employees, they were adamant about making this happen if we met our three-month reserve target. Hats off to CSFO James Brumley, for financially making this happen behind the scenes,” said Kallhoff.

“The incentive resolution serves as a fitting conclusion to the outgoing Board’s tenure — one defined by strong financial stewardship, employee support and a clear commitment to the success of Cullman City Schools,” said the release.
