Champlin Park High School students arrested after a handgun was found by police
Brooklyn Park Police said two students were arrested Friday after a handgun was discovered in Champlin Park High School.
Police said their department received information around 8:45 a.m. that a student might be in possession of a firearm.
A school resource officer, along with school staff, worked to find the students named in the tip and found a handgun in a backpack.
Two 15-year-old students were arrested and booked in Hennepin County’s Juvenile Detention Center.
