Camden man sentenced to 33 years in prison for violent robberies at Collingswood apartment complex

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPHL) — A Camden man has been sentenced to 33 years in New Jersey State Prison for committing two armed robberies at a Collingswood apartment building in 2021, according to a press release issued Friday, October 24, by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

Jaquis Burton, 25, was sentenced in Superior Court on Monday, October 20. Under the terms of his sentence, he must serve a minimum of 28 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole. Burton was found guilty on June 25, 2025, of first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and conspiracy, third- and fourth-degree aggravated assault, along with several other offenses.
