Brooks’ Sandwich House updates hours during trial next week for co-owner’s alleged killers

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Brooks’ Sandwich House shared that they are open on Friday and plan to stay open through most of next week while the trial for the men accused of killing co-owner Scott Brooks is underway.

The restaurant said they’ll be closed on Monday, but expect to reopen for the rest of the week.

In a post, the team wrote, “Just a little update – we’re open today! We will not be open Monday, but plan to be open the rest of next week while the trial’s going on. So please ignore any closure posts or news from the past – we’ll keep y’all updated right here! We appreciate y’all more than you know.”

Earlier this month, the shop had announced plans to close during the trial for Terry Connor Jr. and Steven Staples, who are accused of killing Scott Brooks in 2019 as he was opening the restaurant early one morning.

Scott’s twin brother and co-owner, David Brooks, said he plans to attend the trial to speak for his brother and “make sure that justice is served.”

The trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 27.
