The concert was held at Harman Chapel and it was hosted by the band Disciple.
Disciple has been around since 1992 with their roots coming from Knoxville, Tennessee.
Over the years, they have gained notoriety as a popular Christian metal band. The band has released more than 10 albums with several number-one singles.
Kevin Young is the lead vocalist for the band. He said he can trace his love for rock music to the 1980’s with bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard tearing up the charts.
“Our music attracts a lot of people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. We want to give them hope and tell them their life matters, tell them their life has a purpose, and make sure they know there’s hope for them,” Young said.
Young said they have big things planned next year in 2026 but they could not reveal those plans just yet.
59News did ask if they would be interested in coming back, to which Young said they would absolutely be back in the area if the opportunity comes up!
