One person found dead after fire in Rowan County

LANDIS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has been found dead after a fire Wednesday night, according to the Town of Landis.

Around 10:38 p.m. on Oct. 22, the Landis Fire Department was called to a fire on West Taylor Street. While putting out the fire, crews found one person dead inside the building.

The fire and death are under investigation by Landis Police and the Rowan County Fire Marshals Office.
