CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help from the public in the search for a girl who went missing on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Chicago police, 12-year-old Alondra J. Ayala was last seen around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the 2300 block of West 64th Street in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.

Officers say the missing girl, who stands 5-foot-2 and weighs around 100 pounds, has Brown eyes and black hair.

Ayala was last seen carrying a black and purple backpack while wearing her school uniform and backpack, which officials say consisted of a burgundy shirt, burgundy sweatpants, beige hooded sweatshirt.

Officers said the photo provided by police shows the girl in the same clothes she was last seen wearing.

Police offered details about the missing girl in a news release shared on Wednesday night.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 12-year-old Alondra Ayala is asked to contact the CPD Area One SVU at 312-747-8380 or dial 911.
