Halloween Events happening in Topeka this weekend

TOPEKA (KSNT) – There are plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween early in Topeka this weekend.

The NOTO Arts and Entertainment District will be hosting a “Trunk or Treat,” on Oct. 25th starting at 3 p.m. Families can go around to businesses collecting candy and a firetruck will also be present.

“I love the fact that we get to bring our community together and share in some of that joy that they get to have down here in the NOTO district,” said Staci Schnacker, Arts Administrator for NOTO. “This is just one more thing that we can do to really bring family down here and have some fun.”

Another trunk or treat experience will be happening in south Topeka. The T-Town Jeepers will be hosting a “Jeepers Creepers Trunk or Treat,” Oct. 25th starting at 5: 30 p.m. in the parking lot of Sport Zone. This will feature decorated jeep, the Burger Bus food truck and special guest, Stanley, the mascot of the Topeka Scarecrows.

“This is my favorite event of the year,” said Heather Quillin, T-Town Jeepers founder. “I love the excitement in the kid’s eyes to get to see the different jeeps. Sometimes this is the first time kids have ever got to interact with a jeep.”
