Lawrence Mallett, 66, and Sky Leger, 44, both of Cameron, were cited for blocking the passage of fish.
Officials said agents observed a shrimping vessel that was tied to a water control structure with nets deployed in Mud Bayou, where they were actively shrimping using their nets to block the passage of fish.
Agents made contact with the subjects and found them in possession of about 2,050 pounds of shrimp. Agents seized the shrimp and sold them to the highest bidder, authorities said.
Blocking the passage of fish brings a $250 to $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail.
