Brainerd massage therapist previously charged with criminal sexual conduct charged again

Two months after being charged, a massage therapist operating in Brainerd has once again been charged with criminal sexual conduct.

Cameron Alan Thompson, 52, is facing counts of fifth and third-degree criminal sexual conduct, this time stemming from an incident that occured on Oct. 17.

Thompson had previously been charged with fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct when he allegedly assaulted a woman on Aug. 18 and was later charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct for the same incident.

According to a criminal complaint, in August, a woman, who is also a massage therapist, told police that Thompson had sexually assaulted her. The woman said she had made an appointment with Tree of Life Holistic for a massage with Thompson, the business owner.

She said everything was normal until Thompson massaged closer to her groin and sexually assaulted her with his hand, according to the criminal complaint.

While he was charged days after the incident and was arrested, court documents showed Thompson later posted bond and continued to operate his business at Tree of Life, where he reportedly committed another sexual assault.

The second incident occurred on Oct. 17, when another woman booked a massage with Thompson on her family’s advice. The criminal complaint said that during the massage, he again began to inappropriately touch his client.

When the woman confronted him about what he was doing, Thompson reportedly said his hand was numb and that he hadn’t realized where he was massaging.

Thompson has since been arrested and is being housed at the Crow Wing County Jail.
