The video posted on Friday on TikTok was a day in the life of a substitute teacher and featured video of students in the hallway, and received 550,600 views and 68,200 likes.
At one point, you can hear the substitute teacher call a student looking her way “shorty” and says she has to “get after these school kids trying to take me down.”
Over 700 people commented on the video, several warning her about posting videos of students.
“U shouldn’t be recording minors w/o parent consent. Also, why that “tryna take me down” comment?” said one woman.
“How is this not making anyone uncomfortable?” said another person.
It appears the video was recorded at Lake Cormorant High School, but DeSoto County Schools is not commenting on the video or the substitute teacher.
“District officials informed Kelly Services today that the person is no longer allowed to be a substitute teacher for DeSoto County Schools,” said DeSoto County Schools.
WREG also reached out to the creator of the video and are still waiting for a response.
