Body of 30-year-old found in Mississippi River, no foul play suspected

The body of a 30-year-old man was found in the Mississippi River on Saturday afternoon, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.

Two kayakers found the body in the river near the Beaver Islands around 1 p.m. on Saturday. The man was recovered and identified as Abishakur Abdifatah Ahmed.

Investigators didn’t find any signs of trauma on Ahmed’s body and don’t suspect foul play at this time.
