Semi-truck spill causes significant delays on I-84 in Weber Canyon
WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Lane closures were in effect, delaying traffic, due to an accident involving a semi-truck on I-84, but the lanes have since reopened.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), all lanes and the right shoulder on the westbound lanes of I-84 were closed for several hours near milepost 90 in Weber Canyon.

Sergeant Mike Alexander, with the Utah Highway Patrol, says that a semi-truck tipped over and spilled liquid fertilizer onto the highway. Fortunately, the driver of the truck only experienced minor injuries.

Initial estimates stated that the road should be cleared up around 5:02 p.m., but UDOT confirmed that all lanes reopened around 4:30 p.m. However, “heavy delays remain through Mountain Green”.
