Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by car in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred early Tuesday morning on Broadway Avenue.

According to APD, the incident happened at approximately 6:27 a.m. on Oct. 21 near the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Lee Street. The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis as part of the investigation, which remains ongoing.
