Lucky shop? Store sells three multi-million winning tickets in less than a decade
According to the California Lottery, the sale of a $50 million Super Lotto Plus ticket marks the latest in a series of multimillion-dollar victories over the past decade at Village Spirit Shoppe, which is located at 4601 Lakeview Canyon Road.
Lottery officials said these couple of wins have earned the liquor store a fresh “Millionaire Made Here” designation, making it one of California’s luckiest retail partner locations with a growing legacy of wins.
“My family has owned the shop for 30 years; my mom is the owner,” Mimi Shon recently told the California Lottery.
In March of 2021, the California Lottery officials said the same store sold a winning “Ultimate Millions” scratch ticket that was worth $10 million. In 2017, another winner walked away with a $3 million prize with a “Set for Life” scratcher game from the Liquor Store.
Fast forward to March of this year, the shop sold a “Fantasy 5” ticket worth over $63,000, and on Sept. 1, they sold a Powerball ticket matching four numbers and the Powerball, which earned a $23,525 prize.
Mimi told California Lottery officials that with this recent win, she looks forward to the “possibility” of a nice vacation from the $250,000 bonus her family store has earned.
