According to the KSP Pikeville Post, the call came in just before 8:30 p.m. Monday regarding possible human remains in the Inez area.
Troopers say the skeletal human remains were found in a wooded area near Coldwater Road. The Martin County Coroner’s Office also responded and is taking the remains to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort to be identified.
The case is still under investigation, and at this time, KSP has not said if they suspect any foul play.
