The service, which began today, has already seen nearly 100 tickets sold daily since its announcement in July, marking a significant interest from travelers in the region.
“I think people have started to understand it’s not very similar to anything we have going out locally,” said Zack Oakley, CEO of Rockford Airport. “It offers a new way to connect through O’Hare, and I think we’ve started to get people to understand that, so now word of mouth will help this thing build quickly.”
Airport officials have noted that this service is a first for the area, providing a unique travel option for passengers looking to connect through O’Hare.
The bus service runs five times a day each way, offering flexibility and convenience for travelers.
