Paul Thibodeaux, a two-time double lung transplant recipient, stopped by the OMV because it is where people designate their wish to be an organ donor on their driver’s license.
According to a news release, almost “95% of registered donors sign up through their driver’s license or state ID” across the state.
“You got to thank people for saving your life. But in the meantime, someone they know had to die in order for you to live. I go through life after that, and I make every day the best day possible, because I am living for two people, not just myself,” said Thibodeaux.
Thibodeaux also helped to promote Lung Transplant Awareness Month.
