EMPORIA (KSNT)- The Emporia State volleyball team has found its way into the AVCA rankings.

After a 2-0 week over then No. 24 Central Missouri and Missouri Southern, the Hornets are ranked No. 25 in the poll. It’s the Hornets first time featured since 2011.

The Hornets sit at 17-3 (8-1 MIAA) on the season, with its lone conference loss coming to rivals No. 2 Washburn.

Emporia State will look to avenge its loss on Friday when the Hornets travel to Topeka to take on Washburn Friday night in round two of the Turnpike Tussle.

Game is set for 6:00 p.m.
