Can dollar store finds make Pinterest-worthy fall decor?

DALLAS (KDAF) — Can you really turn dollar store finds into a Pinterest-worthy fall decoration? One viral hack claims you can, using just a trash can, pool noodles and a few fake flowers.

Here’s how it’s supposed to work: you cut the pool noodles into smaller pieces and use them as a base inside the trash can to hold your faux flowers in place. The idea is that the noodles help the blooms stay evenly spread out for a full, festive look.

But after putting this one to the test, the results were less “fall chic” and more… well, trashy. Despite the creative effort, the final product really did just look like flowers sticking out of a trash can.

This DIY was officially DENIED.

Sometimes a bargain isn’t always beautiful but hey, at least it makes for a fun experiment!
