SCURRY COUNTY, Texas — One person was left dead and another was seriously injured after an accident Thursday involving an SUV and a motorcycle in Scurry County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the motorcycle failed to slow down and crashed into the SUV as it attempted to enter U.S. Highway 84 from Ennis Creek Road.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 55-year-old Daniel Martin of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was transported to UMC in Lubbock with serious injuries.
50-year-old Theresa Martin was also riding on the motorcycle. She was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV was uninjured in the accident.
