3-year-old boy seriously injured in east Charlotte parking lot shooting: CMPD
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 3-year-old boy was seriously hurt in a weekend shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on October 19 in the 5700 block of Sloping Oaks Road. CMPD officers said someone fired into an occupied vehicle, damaging the car and leaving the young child seriously injured. The vehicle sustained an estimated $10,000 in damages.

Two other people were also listed as victims: a 29-year-old man who was threatened with a gun, and a 37-year-old man who was not hurt.

Investigators said the victims did not know the suspect. The case is being investigated as an aggravated assault and property damage. So far, no arrests have been announced.
