Two people are in custody Monday morning after an overnight standoff in Brooklyn Park.
An alert from Brooklyn Park police says officers were sent to a home along Laramie Trail near Newton Avenue North at around 9:50 p.m. Sunday after callers reported hearing gunshots in the area.
When officers arrived, they set up a perimeter and found evidence that someone had, as reported, fired gunshots near one of the homes.
The area was blocked off for several hours and a SWAT team was called to help.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured video of the SWAT team moving toward the home early Monday morning.
Eventually, after attempts to make contact with those inside the home were unsuccessful, crews were able to get inside and arrest two suspects.
Police say the investigation is still active.
No other details have been released at this time, and no injuries were reported.
