No Kings protests from around the nation in photos

They gathered early. Some in the rain and fog in communities large and small. Millions took to the streets around the nation for the second No Kings day in peaceful protests to push back against President Donald Trump’s policies.

The demonstration comes as Trump promised to fire thousands of federal workers amid a federal government shutdown triggered by Congress’s failure to approve a funding bill for the new fiscal year. Trump also deployed National Guard troops to major cities asserting rising crime and ramped up immigration enforcement.

Here are some photos of protests from across the country.
