No Kings Protest held in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A No Kings protest was held in New Orleans Saturday, Oct. 18.

The rally gathered more than 10,000 people. Organizers said the protest was intended to peacefully demonstrate opposition against the authoritarianism and corruption of the Trump administration. The event was just one of thousands of demonstrations that took place across the country.

The protest took place at the Lafitte Greenway from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There were performances by Kermit Ruffins and speakers like Alanah Odoms.
