Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan reminds eligible voters that Monday, Oct. 20, is the deadline to register to vote and receive a Vote by Mail ballot for the Nov. 4 Statewide Special Election.
Registering to vote can be completed online at lavote.gov.
Voter registration applications are also available at most government buildings, such as libraries, the Department of Motor Vehicles and RR/CC offices throughout Los Angeles County.
Also on the website, voters can check their voter registration to ensure they are registered to vote and their information is up to date.
If eligible voters miss the deadline, they will not be issued a Vote by Mail ballot, but can still vote in person at any Vote Center in Los Angeles County beginning Saturday, Oct. 25.
The RR/CC provides translated election materials in 18 different languages. Voters can request to receive their materials in their preferred language by returning the Language Request Form on the back of the Sample Ballot Book, or by calling 800-815-2666, option 3. Spanish-speaking voters may also call 213-358-2701 for direct assistance.
