Harrison man jailed for assaulting his elderly mother

A Harrison man is behind bars after assaulting his elderly mother and sending her to the hospital. Fifty-six-year-old Jeremy Lee Young is facing two charges for the incident which happened last month.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Harrison Police Department, officers were called to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center to speak with a female about an assault. The victim told law enforcement Young was extremely intoxicated, yelling and berating her. He then pushed her, causing her to fall. She reported her hip was broken and she possibly had a broken wrist.

About seven hours after the incident happened, Young gave her a phone so she could call an ambulance.

Young is facing felony charges of second degree domestic battery and abuse of an endangered or impaired person. He is being held in the Boone County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
