Storms move through overnight, severe weather possible
Sunday will see clearing conditions once the front pushes east of the area. Temperatures will only reach the lower 80s in the afternoon with bright sunshine. Winds will be strong and gust between 15 and 20 miles per hour throughout the day from the north. Sunday night, temperatures drop into the lower 50s under clear skies.
In the tropics, there are two areas we are monitoring. The first is an area of low pressure off the East Coast. It could become a subtropical system before being swept out into open Atlantic waters. The second is a tropical wave that will make its way into the Caribbean where it will have a decent chance at becoming a tropical system next week.
Locally, beautiful weather returns to Acadiana next week. Mornings will see temperatures in the 50s with afternoons seeing sun-filled skies and temperatures in the 80s. Another front looks to move through Acadiana Saturday bringing more storm chances to the area.
