This Longhorn could have his first touchdown against Kentucky

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Texas football is coming off a big win against rival Oklahoma. Of the many reasons for their success, the Texas running game having a big day is high on that list.

Coming into the Red River Rivalry, no Texas running back had a run longer than 18 yards. Quintrevion Wisner notched a 37-yard run en route to 94 total yards on the ground.

The Longhorns will look to build off that as they head to Lexington for a showdown with Kentucky. They’ll do so with one less running back, as Jerrick Gibson left the program.

In KXAN’s weekly segment “Noah Knows Football,” we preview what we envision happening in the upcoming Texas football game. The above video breaks down which Longhorn running back could have a big day against the Wildcats.

Texas Gameday is the official pregame show of Texas football and airs an hour before kickoff each week. This week, we’ll preview the Longhorns and Wildcats at 5 p.m. Saturday on KBVO.
