PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) — “No Kings” 2.0 protests are planned in cities across the U.S. this weekend, including Philadelphia, where large crowds are expected to gather.

The first “No Kings” protests took place in June 2025, with around 80,000 people participating in Philadelphia.

Officials say Philadelphians should anticipate significant traffic delays, road closures, and SEPTA detours can be expected during the course of this event. The event is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Road closures on Saturday, October 18

The following road closures will be in effect for the rally on Saturday:
  • Approximately 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.:
    • John F. Kennedy Blvd from Juniper Street to 15th Street
    • North Broad Street from John F. Kennedy Blvd to Arch Street
  • Approximately 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.:
    • Market Street from Juniper Street to 5th Street
  • Approximately 1:15 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.:
    • 500 block of Market Street

SEPTA service adjustments

SEPTA bus routes through the Center City area will be detoured beginning at approximately 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. See the full list of impacted routes here.

Detours will be posted, and specific route changes are available on the System Status Page at SEPTA.org and @SEPTA on X.

Parking restrictions

Drivers must follow the posted “Temporary No Stopping/Parking” signs. City officials warn that vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated.

If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked.
