Man injured in grain elevator accident in central Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man was seriously injured in a grain elevator accident on Tuesday, officials said.

It happened just after 11 a.m. at the Agri-Trails CO-OP, an agricultural cooperative on the edge of Chapman, a small town in central Kansas.

First responders found the injured worker in the office with a severe cut to his foot, Chapman police said in a news release

Firefighters on the scene communicated with incoming emergency medical services, which led to the decision to airlift the man due to the severity of his injury, according to the release.

The 29-year-old man was flown to a Kansas City hospital for treatment.
