Man dies in Highway 101 rollover crash in Santa Rosa
According to the California Highway patrol, the man was driving a Ford Expedition on Highway 101 north at about 2:34 p.m. when he lost control of the SUV and veered into the center divider. The SUV then traveled back across all northbound lanes before hitting a guardrail and overturning in a roadside ditch south of Yolanda Avenue.
“When CHP officers arrived, the SUV was found on its roof with the roof submerged in water,” CHP said.
Authorities removed the man from the SUV and he was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Officials are withholding the victim’s identity from the public at this time.
