CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Not all burgers are created equal, and if you’re looking to get the best one in West Virginia, a recent list says you’ll have to head to Hampshire County.

Only In Your State made a list of the best burgers

in each state based on everything from ingredients and flavor to atmosphere and value. For West Virginia, there’s no better option than getting meat straight from the butcher at Farmer’s Daughter in Capon Bridge.

Farmer’s Daughter is a full-service butchery and grocery that boasts fresh, quality food. It also happens to make one of the best burgers in the country, according to the many awards it has won since opening in 2015.

“I picked Farmers Daughter because I love their commitment to the art of the craft. They have an in-house, whole animal butchery on-site that informs the menu, specials, etc. It’s family owned and operated and in addition to admiring their ethos, the menu is stellar and their Instagram is gorgeous,” Only In Your State Senior Editor Sarah McCosham said.

The House Burger on the Farmer’s Daughter menu is nothing fancy—dry-aged beef, American cheese, pickled red onion, lettuce and Duke’s mayonnaise—but its quality is uniquely special. And for only $10, you can’t beat the price.
