According to a report from the Mountain Home Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 3:18 p.m. to 1017 Highway 62 East after reports of a dumpster fire. Firefighters arrived to find a covered outdoor storage area behind the restaurant engulfed in flames. The storage area is used to store a dumpster, cardboard and supplies for the store.
Investigators say the blaze started in a pile of cardboard and quickly spread through the adjacent structure, causing severe damage to a 2013 Mazda 6 parked nearby. The restaurant itself sustained no damage.
Nine firefighters responded, bringing the fire under control within about 25 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
