Heavy police presence spotted on Near North Side

Officers were on the scene around 6:15 a.m. and appear to be focusing their investigation on an area near West Division Street and North Deaborn Street, in Gold Coast.

While it is currently unclear what brought officers to the scene, at least five squad cars could be spotted as officers appeared to conduct an investigation nearby.

Several evidence markers and ambulances were also spotted on the scene.

Authorities have not yet confirmed details about the investigation and it remains unclear if anyone was injured.
