Drunk driver caused deadly 3-vehicle crash in Hood River, officials say
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A three-vehicle crash in Hood River on Wednesday night resulted in one death and one arrest, Oregon State Police said.

The crash took place just before 9:30 p.m. on Hwy 281 near milepost 7.

Investigators say that Pedro Flores-Flores, 26, was driving a Subaru Impreza south on the highway when he tried to pass a Toyota Corolla in a no-passing zone and struck a motorcyclist traveling north head-on.

The motorcyclist, identified as Phillip Himes, 37, was declared dead at the scene.

Flores-Flores was arrested for manslaughter, DUII, reckless driving and reckless endangering, OSP said.
