INDIANAPOLIS — The 2nd Annual Cancer Survival Gala was a celebration of those who have fought cancer and those who continue to fight across all forms of the disease.

“I throw them a gala to recognize them, to pamper them, and to make them feel loved,” said founder Alisa Lakeya. “They are supported in their fight with cancer.”

The evening of triumph began after Lakeya lost multiple loved ones to breast cancer.

“They need support, they need people that love them, they need people in their corner, they need people that’s fighting for them as well, it’s not just them fighting for themselves,” she said.

The gala also included a memorial table honoring those who have passed from cancer.
