Big cat spotted in Inver Grove Heights, but a positive ID on the feline has not been made
Big Cat spotted in South Metro
A big cat was spotted in the south metro, though what exactly was captured on video is still up for debate.
The video, shared by Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins, said the feline was spotted on a Ring video camera near 70th and Cahill in Inver Grove Heights, calling it a “cougar.”

However, others online have argued the feline on camera is not a cougar but instead a bobcat.
According to Atkins, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has said there isn’t enough evidence at this time to make a positive ID on the big cat.
Until a clearer photo or solid track evidence is found, the animal will remain officially unidentified.
Take a look at the video itself and let us know what you think. Is this a cougar, bobcat or another big cat?
