AMERICUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A local technical college is participating in ‘No Fee November’, an initiative where colleges and universities waive application fees for high school seniors.

South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) in Americus is waiving its $25 application fee for students who apply in the month of November. The goal of the initiative is to make higher education more accessible by removing the financial roadblock that many students face.

Students interested in applying to SGTC can visit their website at www.southgatech.edu and complete an application online.  Click on the “Apply Now” button at the top right-hand corner of the home page. At the end, check the discount fee box and provide code FREEAPP26 to receive the fee waiver.

Registration for spring semester classes is on January 6, 2026 with classes starting on January 7, 2026. Summer classes begin May 27, 2026, and fall semester is set for August 17.
