CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A small plane went off the taxiway and into a ditch on Tuesday afternoon at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport.

The incident happened around 12:15 p.m. while the single-engine aircraft, carrying a pilot and one passenger, was taxiing before takeoff.

As a safety precaution, the Concord Fire Department responded to the scene. Thankfully, there was no smoke, no fire, and no injuries reported.

Airport officials confirmed that the incident did not affect airport operations. The runway and all other areas of the airport remain open.
