One person dead after shooting near Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting on Wednesday evening.

According to emergency medical services, around 6:30 p.m., the coroner’s office was called to a reported shooting on Platt Drive, near Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge.

No further details were immediately available.
