Man arrested in connection to ongoing child abuse and death investigation in Virginia

BUCHANAN COUNTY, VA (WVNS) — A man was arrested in connection with the death of a minor in part of Buchanan County, Virginia.

According to a press release on the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office – VA’s Facebook page, Logan Curtis Boyd was arrested and charged with Felony Child Abuse and Neglect and Felony Murder in relation to an investigation about the death of a minor in the Vansant area of Buchanan County on July 2, 2025.

The press release stated that Boyd is being held without bond. Due to the delicate nature of the investigation and to “protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation,” no additional information will be released at this time.

According to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, further details will be released when appropriate during the ongoing investigation.
