Body discovered in Shreveport’s Twelve Mile Bayou identified as Richard Johnson

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport Police say the body of a man was found in Twelve Mile Bayou.

The Shreveport Police Department reported that a fisherman discovered a body on Monday, October 13.

After arriving on scene, the officers located the body using a drone unit, with assistance from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Shreveport Fire Department.

The body was released to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, and the deceased individual has been identified as 48-year-old Richard Johnson.

Johnson was identified through his fingerprints.

At this time, foul play is not suspected.

The death remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.
