According to officials, Richfield City officers were notified of a ping from a cell phone that showed the suspect was around Snow College campus. A trooper with Utah Highway Patrol also responded to the scene to check the area and help match the description of the suspect’s vehicle.

As the trooper arrived, he passed a similar vehicle matching the description and the license plate. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Larsen drove and took the on-ramp exit, allegedly driving over 100 miles per hour in an effort to flee from police.

The vehicle then entered a neighborhood in Elsinore was driving at 75 miles per hour. Multiple agencies then responded and continued to pursue Larsen. Larsen also passed through Monroe driving 80 miles per hour.

Law enforcement had to halt the chase, prioritizing public safety as Larsen was driving through neighborhoods at high speed limits.

Officers then said that they found Larsen’s truck heading towards Joseph, where it then got back on the freeway heading westbound, documents said.
