Officials said due to a residential fire in the 1400 Old Spanish Trail, Old Spanish Trail at the intersections of Smede Hwy and Old Spanish Trail as well as Duchamp and Old Spanish Trail, the roads will be temporarily closed to traffic.
Traffic heading towards Broussard on Old Spanish Trail will be diverted in either direction on Smede and traffic going towards New Iberia on Old Spanish Trail will be diverted in either direction on Duchamp.
Officials advised motorists to be aware and seek alternative routes. We will update as more information is released.
