PHOTOS: Hazleton Area celebrates homecoming with parade
HAZLETON – It’s homecoming week in the Hazleton Area School District, and that included a parade Tuesday night in the Maple Manor section of Hazle Township.
The homecoming court, announced last Thursday, rode in pickup trucks, flanked by the Hazleton Area Marching Cougars and cheerleaders ahead and the football team behind.
It’s part of a week of homecoming events at the high school.
A carnival at the school followed Tuesday evening.
Friday night is the homecoming football game against Dallas at Harman-Geist Stadium in downtown Hazleton. Homecoming royalty will be crowned then.
Saturday is the annual homecoming dance.
