The Minnesota State Patrol said a biker from Blaine died near Elk River on Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Highway 169.
The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. when a motorcycle was traveling south on Highway 169 when it collided with a westbound pickup that was attempting to cross the highway on 213th Avenue, the State Patrol said.
The motorcyclist, identified by the State Patrol as 25-year-old Jacob Christopher Hoel of Blaine, was killed as a result of the crash. He was wearing a helmet.
